My Sister thisis_melissa Chats to Matt Cohen and his Fiance on Myspace.. and just she asked both of them about this Twitter. (i know right?! yet another SPN imposer)
Anyways.. she (my sister) doesn't come on LJ much anymore, so i asked her to forward me the info from him & mandy...




him and his Fiance stated they both have private Myspace and FB accounts only.

{ETA:} i've been asked a bunch of times now : "how does your sister know shes talking to the "real" Matt" and i simply can only reply with "because shes my sister and i believe her. but that just doesn't cut it right?

so this is the next best answer i can come up with...
her very first celeb online encouther was with Jim Beaver, only after i made her take the leap and go see a interview he was doing for a small vancouver network. she then added him and he remembered her, (she is a very charismatic individual, if you meet her you'd remember her too lol) and they chat now regularly about life ect.
Matt and her had a cute little encouter at Asylum, so she found him on myspace (her choice of social network) and he remembered their encounter too.

she doesn't go around social network stalking celebs lol and just adding whoever has a celeb name. so thats a reason i believe her

this myspace has been around since '07 clearly longer then when he hit spn (and all the crazy fandom) its a private account with approval access for friending. and he has a limited amount of friends about 700 or so. with 100's upon 100's of personal pictures of both him and his fiance. he has one album called "my love" and writes the cutest captions like "my bestfriend" "me and the wife!" and there all like digital cam ones some events but mostly personal ones.

while this twitter account has only been around sing July (or the first post is in july.. i don't know if you can go though and delete things ect... im a twitter-retard lol)
This twitter posts only 1/2 naked pictures of Matt, saying "see its me.. im half naked.. believe me im 4real" and that is practically all the pictures that have been posted there. none with Mandy, whom he is getting married to and obviously loves.

it just doesn't add up imho.

he had a career and fans way before SPN. Someone could have seen him on the OC or Boogeyman and made a fake My Space 2005-2007.

My Space has been around longer than Twitter, but this man had fans before SPN, so that means he could have imposters from 2005 on.

The first comment on the myspace profile is from December 2007. Yes you're right, he could have had imposters from way back, but would a faker really go to that much effort for so many years? There are tons of personal photos that don't appear anywhere else, I know I've looked. The CallingOutFakes twitter claims that the photos from Trinity Boxing were stolen from the Trinity website but I've been on there and they weren't. There are other pics of Matt there, but they're not the same ones that appear on the myspace.

i agree.
there is just so much going for the Myspace vs twitter. I don't understand why so many people are hell bent against the twitter being fake.

I have seen a LOT of fakes over the years, they almost always talk about themselves all the time, they're actively trying to dupe people, they prey on the things people like about them, and neither the Matt or Mandy profiles are like that. The promotion of their work is VERY low key, very understated, but it's still there, but they're not going out there going "hey it's me, be my friend" the way the fakes usually do. And the amount of detail about their personal lives, just day to day stuff, really does make me believe they're real. I just can't believe that any faker is going to go to that amount of work or trouble for that many years, to just sustain that kind of thing takes a huge amount of work, to keep up with every little thing the real Matt or Mandy might be doing, with checkable details etc. Most fakers get bored after a few weeks or years and move on to the next thing.
