Today I go back to work. *sigh* a week wasn't nearly long enough. I'm kind of happy the weather is all gloomy. seems fitting lol. But before I leave I have a couple recs :)

I finally finished reading this fic, it felt like it took me forever to get though. life just kept getting in the way lol.

(Gwaine/Merlin, with Arthur/Gwen, Gwen/Lancelot, Leon/mead on the side)

This story owns my heart completely. It was the first fic I chose to read from

paperlegends Big Bang, which IMO was odd because I haven't read a whole lot of Merlin/Gwaine. But something drew me to it, and I'm really happy I gave it a go. It toyed with my emotions something fierce. I laughed, I cried (sobbed in fact), I was so happy I thought I'd burst. Seeing life and love though Gwaines eyes was incredible, he is so fun & so full of heart that I wanted to dive right in to the fic, scoop him him and hug him for dear life.

I could go on and on about how amazing this fic is, but really just go read it, if you haven't already.
EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT A MERLIN/GWAINE SHIPPER. You will not be disappointed :D

This fic. I can't even put into words my love for it. It just hit all the right spots.
It is beautiful!, made me tear up numerous times, made me giggle ~~like a madman with a blue box~~, & made me so happy I was about to burst at the seams. ♥ the characterization of everyone was SPOT on, and I especially love her Doctor ♥

I vote for this fic to be a DW episode. no lie.

We went into OT after Dallas came back from a 3-0 lead to tie it up. I told her we needed to make a bet. If Calgary Won she'd write Anything in Torchwood universe, if Dallas won I'd make her some Torchwood Icons/other fanart.
OT came and went with no goal and we went into a Shootout where the Flames were VICTORIOUS!!!! 2-1 \o/ I WIN!
so she owed me a victory fic of choice. I hummed and hawed thinking of a prompt for days. I wanted her to write something AU.

she took this ~~not so~~ simple prompt, and transformed it into this masterpiece.

I know I don't have a lot of TW fans on my flist. but if you are a fan, watch the show, love Jack/Ianto READ THIS FIC. RIGHT NOW. you will not be disappointed.

I can't even begin to describe what I felt while reading this story. It is so beautifully done. The happiness, the pain, the sheer and utter grief.
Even though it is AU, it is still very VERY much canon (save a few things.)
There is angst like WHOA, but its bodes well with the whole story and if very much in character. The places she takes Jack, I never want to have to see him go through this kind of thing EVER again *snuggles Jack* & did I mention its HOT LIKE BURNING. She found the kink button and just kept pressing it over and over until her finger was sore.

GO READ IT. NOW.

its fun. its heart breaking. its bitter sweet. its made me laugh so hard, it made me want to cry. it's just amazing.
I never read the book the fic was inspired by [and according to her A/N she hadn't either] so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it won my heart in so many ways.

I don't know where to begin, and honestly I didn't even know what I was getting myself into. this story just owned me for the past couple days. I was blown away with the imagery and attention to detail. I loved where the writer took the characters, including supporting OC's, and especially Arthur. Seeing Arthur in a submissive role like this was different, but the writer hit it spot on.
It was my first time reading fic with character death. and it broke my heart, so be prepared. but it was worth it in the ~~middle~~ end, because there is nothing I love more then Merlin being all super powerful sorcerer

fabulously told story from beginning to end.

Today I bought my flights to Vancouver for Vancon :D hit a wicked awesome seat sale with Westjet! $200 return!! about time i caught a break with flights! Leaving on August 21st and coming back home Sept 13th. we are road tripping too down to the US for about 10 days.
