My Sister thisis_melissa Chats to Matt Cohen and his Fiance on Myspace.. and just she asked both of them about this Twitter. (i know right?! yet another SPN imposer)
Anyways.. she (my sister) doesn't come on LJ much anymore, so i asked her to forward me the info from him & mandy...




him and his Fiance stated they both have private Myspace and FB accounts only.

{ETA:} i've been asked a bunch of times now : "how does your sister know shes talking to the "real" Matt" and i simply can only reply with "because shes my sister and i believe her. but that just doesn't cut it right?

so this is the next best answer i can come up with...
her very first celeb online encouther was with Jim Beaver, only after i made her take the leap and go see a interview he was doing for a small vancouver network. she then added him and he remembered her, (she is a very charismatic individual, if you meet her you'd remember her too lol) and they chat now regularly about life ect.
Matt and her had a cute little encouter at Asylum, so she found him on myspace (her choice of social network) and he remembered their encounter too.

she doesn't go around social network stalking celebs lol and just adding whoever has a celeb name. so thats a reason i believe her

this myspace has been around since '07 clearly longer then when he hit spn (and all the crazy fandom) its a private account with approval access for friending. and he has a limited amount of friends about 700 or so. with 100's upon 100's of personal pictures of both him and his fiance. he has one album called "my love" and writes the cutest captions like "my bestfriend" "me and the wife!" and there all like digital cam ones some events but mostly personal ones.

while this twitter account has only been around sing July (or the first post is in july.. i don't know if you can go though and delete things ect... im a twitter-retard lol)
This twitter posts only 1/2 naked pictures of Matt, saying "see its me.. im half naked.. believe me im 4real" and that is practically all the pictures that have been posted there. none with Mandy, whom he is getting married to and obviously loves.

it just doesn't add up imho.

hey so yea im glad that hes said he hasnt got one as its me whos been looking the retard on twitter fighting with people telling them its all fakes esp after amy gumenick went and posted that it was the real matt on the twitter account .. very frustrating .. can i post this link onto my twitter to prove to them!?

funny thing is mandy says she deleted her twitter recently.. well the mattcohen4real was conected with a mandy and her sister teitter accounts but they deleted recently too. so maybe hed linked himself to them but i swear they had been mailing each other via the account too

i mailed melissa back and said to her to mention to matt loads of points to why people arent beleiving that the twitter is a fake to make sure hell try and clear them all up on his blog

as amygumenick posted that it is a real account so now ppl are questioning her being real or not even tho she is.. i just feel shes been duped with out even knowing it herself.

aswell as that pic that after janine from rogueevnts spoke to him he says the pic is legit but that he never would have put 4real on his forehead and why would he?

so want him to post the orginal pic of it them and show that its not even his handwritting either.. its soo annoying as weve been looking everywhere on line tryin to find where this faker twitter account would have ever got hold of that pic in the 1st place..

then ontop of it ppl keep going on about the ishakeitup twitter account that both matt and jim follow and are folloed bck and even tho she isnt verfied either they are saying just coz matt is followed by her that instantly verifies him..


all totally good points an have made me question myself and thw myspace too but just hope to god that he clears it all up soon for everyone!

aswell as that i just thought luckily the twitter account isnt exactly mailing fans and giving them stupid answers etc and embarrassing matt as its kept to its self most of the time and i think thats why it has pulled of being real so much because it hasnt given ppl to much to doubt instantly like most fakers do.

I'm curious, how does your sister know the MySpace Matt is the real one? I mean, does she know them personally or did she meet them solely on MySpace? There's been a lot of doubt and debate over this so I'm curious.
Not being verified on twitter means nothing, Jim Beaver and Misha Collins' twitter are both legit and yet not verified.

alot of people are stating this same thing. and i don't wat to start things by any means.
but i am a believer in that myspace is him, i don't talk to him, i don't use mypace (or twitter for that matter) but my sister has chatted to him on a regular basis since asylum. and this myspace Matt rememebered their encounter at the convention.

i just hope that one or the other is brought out. & i didn't realize before i posted this that its already a huge thing lol. I was simply talking with her and 2 other friends who all say the twitter is the fake one.

he had a career and fans way before SPN. Someone could have seen him on the OC or Boogeyman and made a fake My Space 2005-2007.

My Space has been around longer than Twitter, but this man had fans before SPN, so that means he could have imposters from 2005 on.

The first comment on the myspace profile is from December 2007. Yes you're right, he could have had imposters from way back, but would a faker really go to that much effort for so many years? There are tons of personal photos that don't appear anywhere else, I know I've looked. The CallingOutFakes twitter claims that the photos from Trinity Boxing were stolen from the Trinity website but I've been on there and they weren't. There are other pics of Matt there, but they're not the same ones that appear on the myspace.

I have seen a LOT of fakes over the years, they almost always talk about themselves all the time, they're actively trying to dupe people, they prey on the things people like about them, and neither the Matt or Mandy profiles are like that. The promotion of their work is VERY low key, very understated, but it's still there, but they're not going out there going "hey it's me, be my friend" the way the fakes usually do. And the amount of detail about their personal lives, just day to day stuff, really does make me believe they're real. I just can't believe that any faker is going to go to that amount of work or trouble for that many years, to just sustain that kind of thing takes a huge amount of work, to keep up with every little thing the real Matt or Mandy might be doing, with checkable details etc. Most fakers get bored after a few weeks or years and move on to the next thing.
