Dean being all domesticated.. I'm not gunna lie. it was cute. but seriously Dean.. The hair has to go.

I really loved how they implemented his new life into the his old life with the flash backs in the opening sequence. that was a really nice touch.

Weird crap is going on....

The Yorkie had me LOL'ing so hard.. Poor Dean and his phobia of small dogs.

The Impala is being ignored :( poor car! I guess I know its because it held too many memories.

The Leather Jacket is packed away too!

YED!!!! I WAS HAPPY TO SEE FREDRIC AGAIN.

WHAT? SAM... STABBED Dean?!.. or was that YED... I dunno whats going on?!


Dean comes to... and....

There is Sammy! he looked a little disappointed that dean didn't come give him a hug

Sam explained to him that he was poisoned, and hallucinating. and the whole YED thing wasn't real.

and Sam doing the whole "Im not evil" test to himself.. LOL.

I got a lot of glimpses of The Sam we all know... and then I kept seeing flashes of a Sam that I don't know at all. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Im Happy to see Mitch Pileggi (Grandpa Campbell back!) but he is odd. They did bring him back from the dead yeah? i thought thats what they meant by "Brought him up... brought me down"

Those brothers.. the cousins or whatever.. they'res somthing strange with them too....

BOBBY! seeing Bobby again :D but awwww I feel bad for Dean being the only one left out of the loop that Sam was back.

I KNEW Dean was faking the "Apple-pie" life. God I almost broke out in tears when he was telling Sam/Bobby about the last year of his existence *hugs dean*

Sam: I didn't tell you I was alive so you could have a happy apple pie life with Lisa and Ben!
Dean: But I wanted my brother!

Dean pretty much not giving it a second thought, he was leaving Lisa and Ben and going back to the old life.

DIJINNS!? did i ever mention that they're kinda really bad ass?

That whole hallucination scene in the room with YED and Lisa being pinned to the roof, and ben sucking the demon blood. That was a WICKED scene. i was actually :o the whole time.

What I don't understand is... WHAT THE EFF is Grandpa Campbell?! why is he back? and why the hell did they kidnap that Dijinn?

Dean doesn't want to go back in to the hunting life for fear of Lisa and Ben being hurt. :( understandable... so Dean offers up the Impala to Sam.... and... and..

HE TURNS IT DOWN?! WHO DOES THAT?!

PS HOW HOT WAS THAT END PROMO OF THE GUYS?!! Jared in the Door way & Jensen sitting *GUH* Please for the love of God tell me they will release a photo shooot?

Me too! I swear, the Dean-Yorkie connection just kills me (the "I have a Yorkie and he pees when he's nervous" line in Devil's Trap, his freak out in Yellow Fever, and now this! *g*).

But awwww, Sammy did seem disappointed that he didn't get a hug right then.

Maybe Dean was attacked by one when he was a kid?! who knows.. but i find it hilarious! poor dean can fight monsters, and demons, angels and devils, a little ickle puppy scares the shit out of him!

It was weird.. yes.. but we KNEW it was going to be different. they couldn't just go back in to the old routine..

Sam/Dean die... Sam/Dean go to hell... Sam/Dean come back from being dead/hell... Hug...make up.. and hunt....

Because this is so much deeper now... Sam was back.. for a year! he didn't go after dean... he left him to try and live that life. it wasn't like it was a day.. or a week.. or even 3 months.. it was a YEAR. and alot can happen in a year.. and to get back on the same page again.. will take time.

Im really not sure why they threw the Dijinn in.. as a excuse to make sam go find dean? Why did the Dijinn want to go after them specifically?

The Campbells came back for a reason. and It was a little much... for Dean especially.

I feel bad for lisa as well.

your the second person who has commented on dean's hair that i have seen. something is different but i can't put my finger on it. someone else said it looked like he dyed it darker or something. idk. to me he looks like he's got less stubble too. maybe it's the whole domesticated thing. sam's hair looked weird to me too. they gotta stop attacking that poor guy's hair with the flat iron. bring back season one hair!

idk why grandpa didnt kill that last djinn. made me question his motives. they gonna try to get some answers out of it on what's going on?

I always love Sams hair.. but he does definitely have his "off" episodes. I miss season 1 Hair too.. but i don't know if that style would work on the more leaner buff Sam now.. it might look funny. just let his hair flow! don't grease it back, don't use the iron. just let it Floooooow LOL.

There is definitely something up with grandpa. he just had that look of evilness when they snagged up that dijinn. i dunno..

okay, so the 3rd (non-speaking cousin), he won't live long. Unless the actor is leaving Flashpoint (which I happen to enjoy him in). Gwen?, yeah she creeps me out a bit. Corin Nemic, man I had a crush on him.

Did Grandpa have a bit of 'yellow' in his eyes or is that just my wishful thinking? Yep, he's creeping me out too. bad Grandpa.

I'm scolding Sam and Bobby heavily. Don't know how Dean handled it as well as he did. I'd have gone ballistic. Feeling very sad for Dean. Not right that he even has to make a decision like that, choosing between Sam and Lisa/Ben. If Sam had just told him from the git-go it would have been a lot easier for everyone.

UHM!! WTF was that!? Right away I knew they were going to do something Lisa on the ceiling I just knew it! and I am loving how season one this feels... so loving it... I'm not sure if it was the download or did I see S1 graininess? BECAUSE HOLY SHIT I LOVED THIS, I'm not even going to lie I have not been a fan of the Season openers but I am so horned up for this season now! It has some major Buffy echoes too which HELLO so excited. There is totally something up with the whole extended family.... Blondy is wicked creepy don't like him one bit!! a the djin coming back made me so happy, when the said the thing about their father I was like WTF!? and then I remembered and it made me happy.... so so so happy.

Sam is not Sam, or not wholly himself, and it unnerves me. But Grandpa Campbell unnerves me as well. (And yes, I definitely think that the "brought him up, brought me down") line was about Sam being pulled from Hell and Samuel being dropped from Heaven. BUT WHY AND BY WHO?!?! And the kidnapping the Djinn thing was creepy.

I felt like Bobby KNOWS there is something different with Sam and that's a large part of why he didn't call/tell Dean he was back. Because he suspects something is not quite right and either wanted to figure it out first or wanted Dean to not have to go through that (again).

Sam turned down the Impala because he's still not himself, I am convinced. At the beginning of "IMToD" Sam INSISTS on fixing the car because he won't give up on Dean (and, by extension, the Impala) and Sam takes care of that car the entire summer while Dean is dead. Now he doesn't want it? That's not the Sammy we know, and I think Dean felt it.

Overall, I am so happy with the way they brought this back. <3

Sams personality is unnerving to me as well. And that's strange for me, because I'm really a huge fan of dark!sam. but this is different. Its like when he was possessed, or drinking the demon blood at least I knew the reasoning behind it. But this. Its like he isn't even really aware that he has changed. If that makes any sense...?

All I can say is I agree 100% with everything you said in regards to the impala. I think that disturbed me more then anything. I mean yeah sure Sam now has his own car. But that's not the point. The impala is like family, and by turning it down was just a slap in the face to dean.

I'm still trying to process this episode, it wasn't at all what I was expecting.
That said, wow.
Dean as a construction worker, and a golfer never would have seen that one coming.
I found it fascinating how Sam was so disconnected from normal human emotion, even when he's trying to prove to Dean he's himself Sam's mannerisms are rushed and completely out of touch, like he knows the moves to the dance but can't find the rhythm. Does that make any sense?
Especially in the end when Dean offered him the keys to the Impala, Sam looked like he was searching himself for something and didn't find it.
Totally killed me when he refused to take the keys, Dean's face was so very crushed it brought a lump to my throat.
Okay I find Grandpa Cambell creepy along with all their cousins so many times removed, it's just too convenient that their family who are all hunters suddenly appear on the radar after all these years. I wonder what they're going to do with the djinn?

And I'm a fan of dark!sam. But this is just different. Its like he doesn't even realize he's different.
He reminds me of the Sam at the end of Mystery Spot.

Not taking the keys to the car, or even really fully grasaping that gesture from dean was like a slap in the face. My heart broke for dean in that moment.

The campbells are not what they seem.. I think dean knows it too. Its just like 'hi! We're your cousins...we've been hunting just as long as you, and yet we've neve crossed paths... Nice to meet you!'

Sorry for not commenting before. I saw your post and you were so excited that I really didn't want to ruin your mood with my reaction to this ep :)
But now, after 2 days screaming WTF WAS THAT???!!!! I'm pretty calm and can comment :)
As you may guess I didn't like the ep... Like at all. I was really dissapointed and can't wait to see 6.02 to make sure that Supernatural is still the best show ever and 6.01 was just a bad dream.
Definitely agree with you about YED! He was the only reason I watched the ep till the end :) Frederic is amazing and it was so great to see him again :))

I can't "not" like episodes. its not in my fangirl nature lol. I always try and find the good in every episode. I Completely understand why a lot of people didn't like it.
I was watching the whole time with the "wtf is happening" expression on my face lol.
and no matter how much i flail, if you don't like it! post anyway! I like to know your opinions always. :) you can post and vent and tell me it was uber crap! I won't care :D

I do hope we get the boys back together soon. but i think its going to take time for them to get the feel of eachother again, they've been apart for so long.
