when I finally did get around to finishing this for the first time..._{[I tried reading it twice before I actually got into it...I kept being all "no this isn't my thing.. but bjl_charlie could not stop talking about it... how its her favorite fic of all time.. how shes' read it like 8 million times...(no lie) and how I MUST read it NOW....]}
I just couldn't put it down. Absolutely fabulous, and oh so very hot and angsty reincarnation!fic. I'm so happy I gave it yet another go. and here I am re-reading it :D

just a fair warning this fic IS hard to get into, and that turns alot of people off.
I don't think i'd rec this as your first Merlin fic..

however I WOULD rec Drastically Redefining Protocol by rageprufrock as your first. Arthur/Merlin fic. In which Prince Arthur meets Merlin and all hell breaks lose. Modern AU

THIS FIC!!!! *flails* is like a right of passage into Merlin fandom. No lie. i've read it/listened to the podfic like 123456 million times. so book mark this bb

Oh man, isn't that artwork FUCKING GORGEOUS?? I can't remember where I first saw it but I was like, okay, this is the best thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

SO FUCKING PERFECT.

I have to admit though, I haven't read 'Accidental...' yet. I just keep hearing that it's so hard to get into but worth it in the end BUUUUT if something doesn't grab me pretty much from the get go I usually back button out of it. I've got such ADD when it comes to fics. So yeah, while I know it's good I just can't make myself start reading it, it's almost like a chore to me (plus whenever Merlin and Arthur have different names in fics that's an automatic no go for me, dunno why but I just can't read them).

the first time I seen this it was from my phone email. .. and i was like "OMFG SEND IT TO MY WORK EMAIL NOW!" lol. So gorgeous!

I can completely see how this story turns people off, trust me, i tried to read it so many times, and i just could not understand where it was going, no idea. just a random bloke living him random mundane life, it had no appeal.
Its not very Arthur/Merlin, in terms of being in character. not in the slightest (other then flash backs to them) but once i got the feel of the fic, and it took me pushing through at last 1/4 of the story before i really grasped what was going on, then i was completely wrapped up in it.

Now re-reading it, I'm picking out all sorts of things at the beginning i hadn't noticed before because of the lack of interest. Im interested to see if i'm going to like it more the second time around.
